The subconscious mind is a mine, holding nuggets of gold for those who dare to travel into the dark to find the light.  Such is the nature of art.  The creative braveheart pours his or her Spirit Energy into each piece.  Often the artist doesn’t know what will arise as a piece is being created.  Magic happens when we open our hearts and just create, line by line, stroke by stroke, turn by turn of the pottery wheel, with each click of the camera shutter. . .We not only reveal the world around us but also reveal to OURSELVES the world WITHIN US.

Each piece on this page illustrates that.

Willow Weep For Me began as a mental image that stuck with me for weeks and would not leave me alone until I began creating it.  With each line, another portion of my spirit revealed itself.  Rebirth, trapped in walls at times but glorious transformation with each reach to the heavens.

I did not set out to create a piece that resembles a brain scan, serendipitous as it was in light of my mom’s recent death from a variety of cancers, including brain cancer.  I merely drew a circle and began making lines.  “Brain Waving” created itself.

Bubbling Up was birthed by “May The Circle Be Unbroken” and represents the flow of life.
